Palanca Chapel
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We are extremely excited about the growing interest, by community, in the Palanca Chapel operations that take place on a weekend. We want to extend our greatest appreciation to those who freely donated their time and willingness to support DeColores. We appreciate and understand that we all have busy schedules, and as scripture states “Ask and you shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you” (Matt 7.7) as we saw on the past weekend, we received the true meaning of Palanca through your prayer and sacrifice.
In our world, which is in such a state of disarray, now, more than ever do we need to remind ourselves that without God we are nothing, bereft of value, and incapable of doing anything. So we must reaffirm this before anything else, the most important mark in our movement’s methodology ties in the whole concept of Palanca prayers, sacrifices and works of mercy. With this mentioned, the concerns of gift Palanca, are really concerns of true Palanca. We need to ask ourselves what part of this gift is sacrifice, works of mercy and prayer? With all that said, we are not saying gift Palanca is good or not, we just want to be sure that it is a gift of the Lord. Self-denial is part and parcel of Christian Life. A wonderful way to live would be in the spirit of Palanca each and every day.
We are happy to announce that we have purchased new bins for the Chapel and we are well on our way to the reconstruction and reeducation of your Chapel. Hope to see you at the picnic in August.
Many Blessings and DeColores,
Michelle Maresh, Sara Barber and Steve Baab
